Whose idea was this? Here i've landed in a country where i can't read, write, or speak the language, where grocery shopping or withdrawing money from the bank is an adventure, and where they expect me to actually teach young, impressionable students. Luckily, life in Japan does have its own fabulous rewards - like all night karaoke, Hyaku-en shops, conbini's, other JETs, new Japanese friends and so much more.
